One of Carolyn's core values is education, continuously learning and filling her brain with industry knowledge or reading personal development books. She has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. Additionally, she is an Enrolled Agent (EA) with the IRS and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Carolyn started in the financial advisory world in 2013, working as a tax intern for a firm that provided tax return preparation and financial advisory services to their clients. She immediately fell in love with taxes and financial planning. Seeing how the two go hand in hand and being able to provide both services to clients has allowed her to better optimize planning strategies for clients.
Outside of work, Carolyn has been married to her husband Josh since 2018. They have a daughter, Mara, who was born in 2022, and a Brittany Spaniel, Winston (who quite possibly has the best hair in the world). They live in Brookfield, WI, and own two rental properties in the Milwaukee area. Carolyn is a huge proponent of self-care, she prioritizes mental and physical health as a daily practice. You can often find her strength training, playing outside with Winston & Mara, or taking many walks.
